Tom joined Absher Construction Company in 1978 as a Project Manager, moving on to Financial Manager and Assistant Controller for the company. He became Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for Absher Construction Company in 1991, and assumed the role of Executive Vice President in 1996. 

Tom was actively involved in bidding and negotiation of a wide variety of public and private projects throughout his career. With personal involvement in virtually all of Absher’s projects, Tom’s knowledge of various construction-industry procurement procedures, the construction management process and the negotiation/select-bid process has served the company well throughout his tenure.
